Why this piece is awesome: This art post to AO3 has several artworks showing Eddie and Venom being domestic in different ways. Most aren't NSFW, but one earns an M rating. Why this piece is awesome: Apologies that I'm late starting this month's recs - it's been busy, but I'll catch up! Starting with a bang with this gorgeous art by amberdreams - Eddie|Venom in a hilarious Superbowl-themed pin-up, so it's even more appropriate now as it's February again, and I gather Superb Owl day just happened. I love the bright happy colours in this painting and Eddie's pose, his embarrassed/pouty look and... just everything about it! The tatt/Venom tendrils, and Venom's tongue! The close-up portrait below is really excellent as well. Amazing stuff.

Why this piece is awesome: I love the concept of Venom as a panther - it makes me think of daemon!AUs, which are always fun! And I have no idea what technique the artist used but it's super cool, with Venom sort of blending into the ground in a deliberately-letting-the-painting-technique-show-through kind of way. Their poses are also really cool and dynamic-feeling!

Why this piece is awesome: These three sketches are all delightful and do a great job of showcasing the character's (fanon) personalities - Eddie's general done-ness and exhaustion, and Venom's endless, excited enthusiasm. xD My favourite is the first one - I always love the trope of Venom Being Clothes, and this one is so adorable - Venom's delighted "I'm a hoodie!" and Eddie's indulgent "having fun?" are just delightful! So delightful! I also quite like how the creator chose to translate Venom's texture into their medium - something about it gives Venom really interesting depth! I also really like how Venom's teeth fan out around Eddie's face!

Why this piece is awesome: Squish squish! :D This piece is adorable and always makes me smile when I see it. I love the image of a tiny puddle of pancake-Venom grabbing onto Eddie's finger with its tongue as he pokes it ("It tickles, Eddie <3<3"). Though nothing of Eddie is visible but his hand, it still somehow *looks* like Tom Hardy's hand? IDK how that works, but either way the artist shows off their mastery of form and shading with just that hand. I also really like the choice of yellow as the background - it's such a bright, cheerful colour and makes for a good visual contrast to Venom while carrying across the mood of the piece. <3 (And the subtle yellow shading on Venom, like the background is reflecting back onto it! Gosh!)

Why this piece is awesome: This is, for a change, comics!Eddie Brock, with his military-cut blond hair and square Hero^TM jawline, wearing a gorgeous little black Venom dress and an equally Venom-ous wedding ring. :D I like Eddie's expression and pose in this one, especially coupled with the dress he's wearing. He's so casual and unapologetic and kind of aggressive about it, like he's ready to throw down at any moment. I am always a fan of the "Venom Is Clothes" trope, and this one has bonus crossdressing, and I really like how the teeth are incorporated into the design of the dress! (Also, the drool on the teeth. Omg.) As so often, I love Venom's shifting form in this, and the handholding is just. Gosh. Yes <3

Why this piece is awesome: There's not enough polyamorous fanart in this fandom for my taste (there never is), but this is a lovely example! Venom's characterisation is extremely silly and adorable, I really enjoy Eddie's unimpressed face in his conversation with Venom, and the four of them sleeping together is an absolute, sweet, warm delight - all wrapped up around each other and Venom happily in the middle. I'm also particularly impressed with the hands, they look so effortlessly realistic.
