Behind The Scenes Sailors (mostly SFW)
Fandom: Sailor Moon
Characters/Pairing/Other Subject: Inner Senshi
Content Notes/Warnings: I guess … mild undergarment warning? It’s not sexualized, but this is art of a bunch of teen girls getting dressed, so a couple of them aren't fully clothed.
Medium: Digital art
Artist Website/Gallery: ivy-alive on deviantArt
Why this piece is awesome: Much as I do, unabashedly, love the senshi transformation sequences, I’m always extra charmed by art that imagines them getting dressed more “normally,” or generally lends more reality/texture/draping etc to senshi fukus. I also love the warm, intimate feel of this piece; the lighting, and the way the characters are mostly facing away from the viewer, engaged in a mundane task instead of posing. It reminds me, thematically at least, of some of Degas’ works, depicting backstage and behind-the-scenes tableaus among ballerinas of his day.

Happy February, folks! I'll be reccing Sailor Moon fanart this month. I hope you enjoy!
